  • Afternoon lovely compers :) Hope you're all having a lucky day xx

We had a hedgehog emergency this morning :( All night kept hearing what I thought was a mouse/rat being tortured by a cat but this morning there was a huge piece of (what looked like) tennis net in the back garden, went to pick it up so the birds didn't get caught in it and found an adolescent 'hog all tangled up in it. Took about 2 hours with a pair of tweezers and hair scissors to free the poor thing. He kept curling into a ball dragging the net inwards with his feet.

Left him indoors for a little while to make sure he could walk, then popped him under a bush, was very sweet he started digging up worms straight away then toddled off under the shed. We always get a nest under the shed, so I think this one must have been a Spring baby. Quite plump, no ticks (eeew but a few fleas) so fingers crossed he'll be able to fatten up enough for his hibernation.

The amount of liquorice I've been eating since giving up the cigs I'll be able to hibernate this winter! lol.

Oh something else...if I've been a tad grumpy in some posts I am sorry xx I'm really not finding being nicotine free very easy  If I become a pain please give me a shove xxx

They are DH's favourites too FF. DD gets him some every Xmas.

Good luck giving up cigs DofK. I have never smoked so can't really understand how difficult it must be. Can't believe the price of them now.

    Good afternoon everyone,

It's been lovely and sunny here right up until 4pm. The sky has gone grey now but it seems to be staying dry.
I did manage to get my washing out and dried before the sunshine dissapeared. I've cleaned out the chicken coop thoroughly as well as I'd neglected it somewhat. Icky job!

Sheils, firefly had virtually sold me on the soupmaker the other day so I clicked on your link (thanks for that) and had a look before coming here.
After reading some of the reviews I bought it yay :T

I hope my Ma loves it too, I love to watch her face on Christmas Day when she opens a surprise.

Thanks Sylvia I bought the stainless steel one from Sheils link.

You are all :A for helping me come to a decision. That's another pressie out of the way :T

Dreaming_of_Kubera - I salute you for being nicotine free :T I have tried to quit many times and I am so stressed by it that I snap at everybody. I just become unbearable to be around
Liquorice is my favourite sweet and you have triggered my craving for some. Luckily I have a packet in the sweetie tin so I'm eating it as I type :D

Thanks for lovely pics all :)

Have a great day and happy comping :)

    Afternoon all

DofK....What a lovely thing to do for the hedgehog. Well done you xx

Sheils, FF, Whizzy.....I've been looking at these soup makers also. Think I may buy one soon.

I've been picking up some stocking fillers for little one for Xmas....just been through them and as usual I've bought too much. Her main pressy is more tricky though...anyone have any ideas what I can get a 2.5 yr old girl?

Weather is fab today isn't it.
    Let's be happy!!

It is lovely picking stocking fillers for little ones Kittencat and they have no idea of how much things cost! :D
I wouldn't go mad with a main present if she doesn't really need anything.
My DD is 16 now so bit out of date with prezzies. Baby Annabel was big favourite here but she is probably a bit young for that yet.
