We have the paddling pool out in the garden but the boys keep annoying the girls by flicking in lumps of bark so they squeal and jump out thinking they are creepy crawlies! reminds me of when I was younger and my parents used to take us on holiday abroad - you know those 'tusk-type' things that float in the sea (I think they are parts of palm trees?). Well I used to be petrified of them and if one floated anywhere near me, I would scream! My brothers used to tease me by saying they were bristle fish that would nibble my flesh off! I think my two brothers damaged my mind for life!

Hee hee had to giggle when I saw your post re a girl leaving your DS's room Sheils! WOW, I wish I was young again! Mind you, my parents were pretty strict when I was younger, and even when me and my ex used to stay over at my parents with our new born son (yes, our new born son), they still weren't so keen on us sharing a bed under their roof! :D

Such a lovely day here though my parents rang earlier from Arran and said it is wet and dull over there!

I am pretty easy going but still a bit shocked they had the nerve when we were at home. DH thinks it is funny. Girl probably doesn't realise I am a comper who gets up at crack of dawn some days! :D

lol at your parents Bella :rotfl:

Weather sunny but not that hot with a bit of a breeze here.

Hope you enjoyed your G&T FF. We just had mince and potatoes for dinner and finished off some wine and now on to coffee. Thanks for bumping the Times comp - think I have done them all so far.
Haven't quite finished the ironing so will get on to that soon. Just got some chargers to put in case and organise cereal and bowls for the 1st morning.

Hi Katie, lovely to hear you are keeping well!

Hi FF, Glad the sun has been shining where you are - no big dinner for us either - tuna pizzas here and now I'm popping open the wine!

Shiels, Good luck with your packing - shame about the ironing! I've been doing the hourly Times comp too - almost time for the last one thank God!

Lovely evening here - blue sky and the smell of bbqs! My parents are so annoyed as it has been cloudy, windy and wet all day where they are! Just waiting for BGT to start as the footie over-ran to extra time! Enjoy your evening!

hope everyone had a lovely day in the sun - I walked (I mean limped) into town with DH for some of his gentle excercise - ended up lugging a load of shopping home - thank god he had his dressings on or people would have wondered what the hell was going on.

MIL was diagnosed with skin cancer this week - luckily its not a melanoma & shes's having a but more skin removed, hopefully that will be it.

On the positive side DD has a job local to us but I can't get her to move in when her partner goes to uni.

There's nothing like a glass of cold cider one warm evening

hamsterfan1, I do hope MIL's skin cancer can be removed and she makes a good recovery. So sad to hear :( Glad you had a bit of fresh air today though as it will have done you and your DH good - plenty of Vitamin D! :)

Enjoying a glass of rose myself - nothing more relaxing on a nice evening like this :) Yes, cheers to you and FF!cute-kitten-smiling-smiley-emoticon.gif
