Busy day tomorrow, SIL coming in the morning to paint the lounge ceiling and then in the afternoon I have my Sister and her DD, DH and 3 kids coming for tea.

I have done quite a few of the Times comp today so here's hoping someone from MSE wins.

used to sometimes take my niece out shopping for b/day
pressies when she was a teenager wingo
used to be about 15 shops later & she'd still not decided

Tell me about it! DD goes shopping with her pals most of the time now but think of me tomorrow taking her around the Metro Centre! Will try to go off for a walk with DH for some of the time

I'm looking forward to Sept Bella as we fly to Menorca on 1st. It will be nice to go away when the resorts aren't too full of kids for a change. Love your pic!

Thanks wingo! At least my DD has her own money as she has been earning about £45 week and that is set to continue. She got money for her exam results too and DHs brother sent her £50 for them as well not to mention her pocket money. She doesn't realise how lucky she is but moans she can't claim the £30 a week poorer kids can claim.

Must get on.

Ahhh Sheils,we have been to Menorca a few times and I worked there as a Thomson's holiday rep during one of my Uni Summer breaks - such a lovely island! I'm sure you'll have a great time and not long to go!

We didn't have rain yesterday but I heard it through the night and it is still wet out there. It has stopped now though and feels a lot cooler! We have had our heating on these past few days - just in the mornings and evenings. I wonder if we will get an Indian Summer this year? We will have to wait and see! I do love the colours of Autumn though!

Morning all been in hospital for three days had terrible throat infection and awfull sickness docs were great They put me on a drip with antibiotics and something to stop the vomiting. still got a sore throat und it is still liquids only as it to sore when swallowing. Hope everyone is well just had a look at my e/mails and it is so frightening how many there are so off to trawl through them
