We've just got constant rain here now so not really windy. Strangely enough though my roof isn't leaking with the heavier rain! It must be the way the wind blows, I think we need the dorma doing again.

You're right about entering for the big 'c', only 20 Fridays left apparently! :eek: I need to get a move on too and start winning again for it. I have too many birthdays in dec too!

Glad you managed to get out sheils in Burnely. The Indian sounds lovely! There is one called Banana Leaf in town but I've never been! Hope the weather is nice for you tomorrow

The Inbetweeners was funny at the pics! Me & hubby were laughing at the bloke behind us who must have had the weirdest laugh ever! I've stuffed my face with chocs n popcorn so I'm full now!

Thanks for mentioning the "C" word Sylvia. Think the only thing I have are nail varnishes for DD.


I tend to enter a few comps when we are away FF. DH doesn't mind as he likes to read and I don't disturb him when comping.


Sounds like you had a lovely time wingo. It is nice to have time without kids!

My DH used to moan at first when I was comping too much! Now he encourages me since I won some great prizes in the past! He was only saying the other day that I haven't won any big prizes for a good while. I don't think I comp as much nowadays though.

Morning! Woo been up since 3am with the wind howling outside! I must admit I can cope with rain, hail, snow and sun but I hate the wind as it is so disruptive! It could be worse though as it could be raining too!

We never really experienced the torrential rain and strong winds yesterday. It did start to get windy in the morning but then it calmed down again before the rain started at lunchtime. Then we just has light showers until the evening.

Well Monday is here again - week four of the kids holidays - OMG the hols are flying!

Hope this is a lucky week for us! Stay safe in the winds! Our chihuahua weighs just over 1 1/2 lb so if I take her out today she will be flying like a kite on her lead!

Good Morning.


Dry here at the moment too Bella but we had strong winds last night. It was making strange howling noises. I don't like it either.
Hoping to get a walk along the canal in opposite direction after breakfast and then have another look at the "Singing, Ringing Tree".
Saw it last time we were in area but it wasn't doing anything as there wasn't any wind to work it.
Off for breakfast now.
