Bus drivers expect you to known the fare for every possible journey, on every route in the country. And expect you to always have the exact fare ready, even when you don't known the fare.0

isn't it about time there was an app for this ?0

Count yourself lucky. Around here it's exact fare, if you pay any more you don't get change.0

maybe they should go cashless and then everyone would be happy,,,wouldnt they
or as above...no change given, that would sort the wheat from the chaff0 -
Ours are "if you don't have the right fare and we don't have change, then tough, we'll give you an IOU for a bus fare in the future""Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

We don't even get that, it's exact fare only. Though it's a flat fare no matter how far you go and the bus stops all tell you how much it is.The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Our bus fares change so frequently I doubt Stagecoach would print out fare sheets. They're still using ancient timetables in places!"Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

Most buses here are flat fare only (Nottingham) but it is only a quid for students on the ones I tend to use. I couldn't care less if a bus driver huffed at me, but I do worry when I pay in 10ps and 5ps, for no reason of course!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. There's still a couple of companies (NXWM is one, I think) who don't do change at all.
Also, if you make the journey every weekend or so, it might be worthwhile buying a multi-trip card if your operator does one, as it often works out cheaper.Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
Now 20% cooler0 -
The last time I used a bus (which was a good couple of months) the driver gave me a voucher in place of my change.0
