I am looking for a car with high driving position and plenty of boot space to house 2 large dogs.
Had thought about a quashqai but wondered about these as well. I also need to use this to go to and from work, so something with reasonable mileage would be ideal.
Currently drive a 1.6 Tdci focus hatch but will not be suitable for dogs (I hope to install travelling crates for their safety.

All vans-with-trim, so all pretty bomb-proof really - but don't expect the last-word in refinement. Partner & Berlingo are absolutely identical in all bar badge.0

Berlingo/Partner will return around 62MPG on branded fuel, or around 55mpg on supermarket diesel.
I have a Berlingo Multispace and it has an amazing amount of storage space.Never Knowingly Understood.

Used to drive a berlingo as a company van. Great motors. Don't hear many bad things about peugeot either.
Stay away from Ren-oh though lol0 -
and do not forget to give the Fiat Doblo a look see !
We have a 1.3 diesel that gives us around 55-60 per gal , and room for a Mobility Scooter, 2 large cases , oh ! and the missus as well ! nice high driving positionA Bast**d I May Be ! I Was Born One !

My old man is a Peugeot mechanic and he bought a partner Combi a few years back due it's general cheapness and space for 1 dog.
He is now looking at changing it, and he is not considering the new one for various reasons
1) it's not that powerful (limiting the size of caravan he can own)
2) it's a light vehicle (again limiting the caravan)
- if you do not, and have no desire to tow a caravan, these should be plus points on economy and not lugging a heavy car round whereever you drive! -
3) he had a few mechanical issues, but as he works for Peugeot it only costs him price of parts to sort out
4) it's not comfy on long journeys. My parents tow their caravan to south France, South Germany, Northern Italy, 2 days in that car each way isn't something they enjoy... When they drove to Scotland last year, they opted to take their (my old) 2004 civic instead)
When he changes the car, he will be looking at the 508sw, I've told him to look at the Octavia estate and superb estate, as they have big boots.
Have you looked at the skoda yeti? They have amazing reviews for that big box type car...0
