Tumble Dryer not fully heating

I have a White Knight 38AW Tumble Dryer. It has served me well for 6/7 years and was cheap to buy (£80 @ Tesco).
When collecting a load today it wasn't fully dry, after running it for a few minutes it does get warm but only about half as hot as it used to.
I have checked the filters and pipe for any blockages but they are all fine and clear.
I would have thought that if the element has gone then it would be totally cold. Any ideas?
I am pretty handy with the spanners so if it is just a case of swapping a part if someone could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.
Regards, Jim.

May not be the same set up, but my last Hotpoint had 2 heating element and when one failed, it still worked on low heat, until the element snapped completely, came loose & eventually shorted iself..
The heater and thermostats are usually easily accessible - may be easy to spot a broken element, but not a dodgy thermostat0 -
Could be the thermostat that need to be replaced. See link below for item, you should be able to find a you tube vid to show you how to replace it if needed

I see the element has two bars on it which may explain why I am getting half the heat as I used to as only one part is broken/working- as flashg67 has stated I am getting low heat only.
I have in the past replaced a similar item in an oven which just had one element to it so when it packed up, there was no heat at all.- hopefully this will be just as easy to swap over.0 -
Clearly two elements...
Easy peasy lemon squeezy....
Get yer spanners out!

The spare company I gave you the link to do all the spares for your model, I think the element was on page one so you have the choice with either spares. You MAY be able to find a spares company that is cheaper {just use search engine} but the company has not let me down, hope you get it sorted :0)0 -

Well.. not just spanners - maybe a Philips screwdriver too
If you've done an oven element this is going to be pretty similar

Just fitted it. Took 20 mins from start to finish and it was a doddle. I can see many a person not bothering and just buying a new one for the sake of £14 and 20 mins. Dead chuffed with myself.0
