Kindle Fire HD rotation problem

I have got above, having replaced the first generation model.
On power up, the "Kindle " logo is upside down ( power button at top). It then corrects itself in the carousel mode.
Is this a fault?
Any advice please.

On mine the "Kindle Fire" logo won't rotate if you turn the tablet , as soon as its powered up the screen rotates to be the correct way up as you turn the tablet.
