Thanks Buffy - lovely and sunny here today :D

Party was hectic but good. The amount of times I got mistaken for my sister was unbelievable (are you twins? Umm, no. She's 3.5 years older than me!!).

I have come home to a lovely, peaceful house. I now need an epic list so I don't waste the next week and get to next Sunday wondering why I didn't do anything with it!!

    Here it is:

    Living/Dining Room

    Hoover
Dust all surfaces and window ledges
    Clean windows (inside only)
    Hoover sofas
Put everything into it's rightful place
    Chuck anything we don't need
    Replace reed defuser thingy

    Kitchen

    Hoover and mop floor
    Clean all worktops and hob
    Clean out microwave
Clean out all cupboards and drawers (chucking away anything out of date)
    Clean out fridge/freezer
    Clean out washing machine drawer
Clean window ledge and window (inside only)
    Dust blind
    Clean cupboard doors

    Bathroom

    Hoover and mop floor
    Wash bath mats
    Clean out bath
    Clean shower
    Clean sink
    Clean toilet
    Replace toilet rim block
    Clean out drawers
Clean window ledge and window (inside only)
    Dust blind
Get some sort of air freshener for the room
    Clean mirrors

    Ensuite

    Hoover and mop floor
    Wash bath mat
    Clean shower
    Clean sink
    Clean toilet
    Replace toilet rim block
Clean out drawers and shelving unit
Clean window ledge and window (inside only)
    Dust blind
    Get air freshener
    Clean mirrors

    Main bedroom

    Hoover floor
    Dust all surfaces
    Organise desk
    Organise bed side tables
    Change bedding
Put everything into it's rightful place
    Clean mirror
Clean window ledges and windows (inside only)

    Spare bedroom

    Hoover floor
    Change bedding
    Dust all surfaces
    Clean mirror
Clean window ledge and window (inside only)

    Hallway and stairs

    Hoover
    Clean hand rail and banister
    Sort out notice board

    Misc

Get up to date on all washing
    Organise airing cupboard better

Phew, think that's it. Might add to it as I think of some more though!!

  • And when you've finished at dawnybabe's place please hotfoot it over here as I've always got a 'must do' megalist :(

Glad to hear you are OK and are set to enjoy a peaceful week without OH. I know exactly what you mean about getting more done when you have the place to yourself. I had a mammoth list last summer when OH went away for a week but very little of it got done:o because it coincided with Wimbledon(which he hates) so I took the opportunity to watch every televised match that I could. Bliss:j

Had a blitz on clearing out the shed yesterday so as to get my carboot stuff organised. Spent ages sorting it all out on the lawn and was a bit surprised this morning to see how red and burnt my arms were:eek: Must get some sunblock, I burn so easily.

Well, I haven't done that well with my list. Naughty me.

However, the bedrooms and ensuite are inspection ready, so I just have to do the lounge/dining room, bathroom and kitchen tonight. I always work best under pressure. I gave myself an hour to do each room this morning (although the bathroom took over that), so will do the same tonight.

Money-wise, I'm going back to basics. I know I've tried it before and failed, but I really need to be doing 100 questions a day. It's not exactly hard work, but it can be very very boring. However, it's my best chance of earning good money (£1,200 a month - way better than surveys and other stuff). I've earned a miserable £80 so far this month (have made money elsewhere though, so that's not all I've got). I'll start doing my 100 questions again tomorrow, so will be looking at getting £480 by the end of the month (might even try to push it to £500 if I can).

I know I can do it if I ditch all the other stuff - it's just forcing myself to get into a routine of doing it daily!! Once I've got some breathing space from the debts/arrears, I can maybe cut it back to 75 questions a day.

House all clean and tidy ready for the inspection tomorrow :). Going to do my meds and watch a bit of The Lone Ranger before bed (catching up on my Sky movies at the moment).

Thanks Buffy, but I didn't get everything on the list done. Just basically made the place presentable for the inspection today.

Up bright and early again this morning. I think I'll just have to face facts - I'm an early riser.

Anyway, busy day today. The inspection is happening, but I might not be around for it as I've got the hospital at 2pm. Hopefully they'll come this morning as I don't really like the idea of someone letting themselves into my house whilst I'm not there.

It's my dad's birthday today too, so really need to find time to go to the cemetery. He would have been 69.

Also want to go and do some shopping. I've got a £3 off £20 spend voucher at Tesco and also have £6 in Clubcard vouchers, so can get £20 worth of shopping for £11.

Better get on with the questions - I've got 100 to do after all. I've already made a start and am up to 16.
