Fischer Smart Technology Electric Storage Heaters

Hi,
I live in a small (70 sq meter) cottage built around 1780. The floors are stone-flags lying directly on the ground (very cold), the walls are cob and stone and approx one meter thick (i.e. very good insulation), the loft is small but insulated and the windows are double-glazed. We have no central heating but we do have a very efficient Rais 600 wood-burning stove in the living room.
I want to heat the rooms (living room & interconnecting kitchen, two bedrooms and one bathroom) in the most cost-efficient way possible with electricity. The installation costs are not an issue I simply want the best system for keeping my house warm all year round (16C during the day when I'm out and 21C in the evenings when I'm home - note the very efficient fire will also then be lit).
We recently were visited by a Fischer Heating consultant - they claim significantly reduced electricity consumption by using their German smart technology storage heaters that run on on and off peak electricity. They were very convincing but there has been a lot of negative publicity, has anyone personal experience of the running costs of the Fischer electric heaters/radiators?
Thank-you

Welcome to the forum first time poster, there's a whole thread here .. .. and the ASA outcomes are here. You might get a better and more informative response if delete this particular post and you pose your questions directly in the Fischer thread. Running their overpriced convectors on standard rate will cost you exactly the same as any other convectors, since they're all 100% efficientt. Running them on E7 would be insane, as (unless you're sitting up all night between say midnighgt and 7am), then all their usage will be charged at E7 peak rate. For a property like yours, the only all electric system that makes economic sense is NSH's and an immersion neater. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
