Hi, I'm thinking I could probably more for our money if i get our rings online, rather than in a shop?
Anyone have any links as to what sites are best to use?
Thanks!

We got our wedding rings from Betts Metal Sales after seeing it mentioned on here several times. If you register with them you see their trade prices which are far cheaper. Just sign up as a "hobbyist" to get the trade prices.
I got a 2mm 18k yellow gold medium weight cushion court polished, hallmarked, engraved and delivered for £85. This included a £10 charge as what I wanted wasn't a standard option they offered. Hubby to be's ring is a heavy weight 9ct yellow gold 4mm court, think it was £75...delivered the day after we placed the order! Fab service. If you don't see what you want just ask them

Thought I'd post pics of our rings from them https://www.bettsmetalsales.com
The box was our own, the rings arrive in little plastic packets, not glamorous but you can pay extra probably to have them arrive better presented I reckon if thats important to youWe've bought a little velvet pouch (a few £ from ebay I think) for the wedding day so that the best man can keep the rings easily in his pocket instead of in a bulky box.

We got ours from Wedding Rings Direct, which is based in Brighton. They do a trial service where you can have them send you silver mockups of different types of rings to see what works best for you (you have to pay for this but it's not too much). This was important for me as I wanted a wedding ring that would shape round the engagement ring. I ended up with a ring that fits so nicely with my engagement ring that people tend to assume that it was made to fit :-) And it was so much cheaper than buying in a shop.

I have signed up to this forum specifically to take part in this thread so please be gentle!
I am an internet marketing consultant and am currently working with a family run jewellers based in Hatton Garden.
Purchasing jewellery online can save you money over the big chain retailers (goldsmiths, hsamuel, ernestjones, etc), however you may be able to find just as good deal from a local jeweller who doesn't have big marketing / staffing / premises overheads.
Also use eBay to familiarise yourself with the price ranges and don't forget that those prices also include a 10% eBay fee and 3.4% Paypal fee.
(P.S weddingrings-direct don't seem to be overly cheap, I just done a quick comparison with one of their rings which is near identical to one that the company I work with sells and it is nearly twice as expensive on WR-D. 18ct white gold, 0.50ct H SI2 diamond £645 vs £1,164.37)0 -
