The Cattle Market, St. Austell

I received a pcn through the post from a company called ParkingEye. The pcn only had 2 pictures on it, 1 where I was arriving into carpark and 1 where I was leaving. They state I overstayed my parking by half an hour. I was in costa having coffee with friends, and we just forgot about the time,as you do. At the time there was only 1 or 2 parking signs stating the time allowed, now they,re all over the carpark. Ive e-mailed my local mp and all he could say was, there is nothing he can do because its private land.....Not sure what to do next.

The whole car park is run by ParkingEye, Costa, The dry cleaners,Mcdonalds and the Travelodge.

Next question would it be possible to find out who owns the car park? It may be possible to get the car park owner, or who ever contracted parking eye to cancell the ridiculous charge issued by parking eye.

the whole parking charge thing as opperated by parking eye is nothing short of a highly immoral scam designed to con you out of your money, read the sticky thread for more info.

PE use anpr cameras so there will be 2 pictures on it , one entering and one leaving

if the time taken breaks their "rules" (or if no ticket was bought or the wrong reg number entered on a p&d car park etc) they will issue a pcn

yes it is private land so no regulations exist , apart from POFA 2012 and the EA 2010 for "disabled people"
..Not sure what to do next.

what you need to do is read the NEWBIES thread and deal with this the same way as the thousands of other private tickets (invoices) issued every year

so an appeal , then a popla appeal , also a landowner or retailer appeal as well , to get it cancelled or quashed

Well done, if PE play up which is probable it will be worth going back to costa and asking for written confirmation.
Also until you get confirmation that its cancelled get the challenge ready, and start looking into POPLA
