Good Quality Duvet?

I'm looking for recommendations for a good quality duvet, we need to replace our king size duvet, partly because its old and partly becuase it doesn't fit our duvet covers.
The main issue is we have good quality duvet covers (king size) but the duvet inside doesnt fill it properly ie fitting to the edges of the cover.
Any recommendations?

Have you happened to purchase a Euro size cover for a UK duvet? Check the measurements. UK beds are small than their European equivalents, a common problem for ikea shoppers.
FWIW I would always go with down rather than synthetic, the dearest you can afford. Look for a known brand too.

I like the fine bedding co range of duvets. I cant stand a synthetic duvet which has that ' crinkle feel' to it and find down ones too heavy and itchy.
I have a winter weight one and one of their Spundown ones for Summer. Both are excellent IMO.

Are you looking for natural filling or synthetic? What's your budget?

I don't think so, the covers were from a Beales Department Store.
What would be a known brand? The one I have I got in argos, it was the cheapest one, I can now afford a better replacement but it has to fit my covers.0 -
My wife is allergic to feathers so we recently tried a wool filled duvet and have been really pleased with it.
Can't remember exactly where we got ours from but something similar to the one on this link.

My friend has a feather one and its noisey as in it rustles when you move so I dont want that. otherwise interms of filling I have no idea.
I want 10.5 tog as this is what we have and its about right.
I don't know how a decent one would cost but no more than £50.0 -

We have this one, for 5 years now, and I can highly recommend it. It's not as bulky as a standard duvet, but still drapes around you like a feather duvet, and best of all, no rustling.
I get very cold at night and hubby gets very hot, but it keeps me warm and him cool. It also washes really well.0 -
