Pink Jelly orange slices
Pink and white marshmellows
There are veggie crisps that look quite pinky - cant remember what they are called though!0 -
Make it a competition with a small prize ,the boy that dares to wear the most pink and whatever for the girls but make sure the boys prize is butch and perhaps tell them what it is like a voucher for ten pin bowling or something! ( you can often get these for free as they get a free voucher for one but have to take three friends who pay.) Or a transformer or something.
Good luck :j0 -
Thanks for your replies I love the way people are always ready to help.
I would really like to say on the invites wear pink its a pink party but what would you put on the boys invites? There are 30 coming and about half are boys. Or would you just forget that idea?
I don't think I would specify that you must wear pink. It's just added expense to the parent of the child who doesn't have anything pink in their wardrobe. How many boys realistically have pink tops or shorts/trousers.
Go for the pink themed party though. It sounds a great idea and I"m sure your DD will love it.Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.

Sounds lovely. You could always do salmon sandwiches, Jam sandwiches, chopped up pink lady apples, sausages, strawberries or even water melon (but that might get messy).
Hope it all goes wellWhy is there always too much month left at the end of the money

How about pink princesses and pirates theme.
That way the girls get to dress up in all their pink frilliness, and the boys don't feel left out of the theme.
I don't see why you can't do pink food and decorations as the theme, just as long as you don't do really girlie games, otherwise that will be excluding the boys.
Beware though, to get pink food lots of additives are bound to be included, so maybe limit it with other colours such as browns and whites, so you can include healthy sandwiches, and non additive home made cakes, and a bit of chocolate etc0 -
Not sure if its been mentioned, but how about a Pink Princess & Pirates theme! That way you can balance it for both girls & boys!

My son (4) has in the past been invited to laods of girls party which specify its a "Princess party". Some of the onvitations have said things like "little suzie would be delighted if youwould come in fancy dress to her pricess party".
To be hinest, we haven;t bothered getting him into fancy dress , he doesn;t do dressing up, it stresses him (and hence me) out and the best we can do is to get him to wear his England top and shorts LOL.
To my knowledge none of the Mums or Birthday Girls even noticed. And at all the princess parties there was plently of pink frillery from the girls. So I wouldn't worry about the boys feeling left out, they will just love the fact its a party.
And my son couldn't care less what plate or cup he eats off or what colour his party bag is! When its my sons party all guests get Cars party bags and at my daughers they all get Cinderella or whatever!Jan GC: £202.65/£450 (as of 4-1-12)
