Lionbridge, Leap Force, Appen

How did they find out?
You have to state whether you've ever applied to any of the others on the application form.
Also, using the same email can cause problems as some of them use the same web portal, and obviously it's not possible to have more than one account with a single email address/login.0 -
E-mail address, postal address, IP address, name...etc etc.
Just pick one & go with them, it isn't worth it if you try to do both and they find out - then you've screwed up both.0 -
But the LeapForce don't state such a condition! only Lionbridge.
Correct me if I am wrong please!0 -

You cannot do both at the same time. The work is the same so you are registered on the same website. Even if you used a different email address they would be able to track your IP address. If they see you working both at the same time you are likely to get sacked from both.0 -

Are you sure they don't state it? I read their contract today and as far as i remember it stated that we shouldn't work for any similar companies or compete companies, or did i misinterpret it? Other advice please0 -

You are correct. You cannot work for LF, LB and Appen at the same time. As shown by this thread it is not even a good idea to even apply for them all at the same time.
As a long term rater my advice is always to apply for one at once and if not sucessful move onto the next company.0 -
You can work for LF and Appen at the same time, but not LB and Appen because they work for the same client.
In theory you could work for all 3 at the same time if you used a different e-mail address for each, but It'd be crazy trying to keep up with the various guidelines. It's still a breach of contract if you work for any of them at the same time, but, as the above user pointed out, it's a tough climate and some people might be enclined to take that risk.0 -
thank you for your advice cat. I was thinking applying to appen, then i read many reviews about working at the same time with these companies and discontinued it, especially if that's part of the commitment. Does having many email addresses really help? what about ip address?0

I personally would not take the risk of working for LF/LB and Appen at the same time, as its breach of contract, although I know some people do. I have worked for several rating companies and am always 100% open and honest about any work I have done for other companies before and have never worked for more than one at once. I also doubt you could do the job properly if you were working for more than one company, but thats a personal opinion.0 -
Unless something has changed recently, I think LF and LB work for the same client? Appen is the different one.
But yes, it is best just to pick one and go with that. These are very good opportunities and defo not worth risking.0
