Lionbridge, Leap Force, Appen

Hello
I have been reading the various threads on lionbridge, leap force and appen. But getting a bit confused in the different threads for each one.
So thought i would start my own post on the 3 as i am in the process of deciding which to apply for. Im UK based. (i know people involved with them can't say too much due to disclosure rules)
Really struggling with which to go with. I know LB is in Ireland and paid in Euros, i know LF is in USA paid in dollars and there is the time difference to contend with. i know LB is 11 month contract LF is 6 months possible renewable. I know both involve exams and both have similar roles on offer.
All i know about Appen is the work is a little more solid at 20 hours a week.....?
I'm kind of angling more towards leap force.... but still un sure. Been doing so much reading i'm getting confused. haha
Anyone involved with these companies.... could you perhaps comment a positive and negative if any for the role you do.
Thanks all
and sorry for any repetition. Some of the other threads were started some time ago and i want as uch up to date info as possible

For someone who is new to rating I would say LF is your best bet.0

Hi. Just replied to you on the Appen thread.
I did work for LB before Appen, and didn't have any problems there until my final month, when I was removed from production for failing a quality assessment.
One thing I would mention is that I'm not sure LB accept applications from people who've worked for LF, or even taken their exam. So that's probably something worth bearing in mind.
No idea whether LB hire ex-Appen workers for their Internet Assessor role, though, as I don't think I've seen anyone try to go from Appen to LB yet..0 -
thanks mallrat i have decided to go for leap force - ive done application guess i just wait for next stage if im accepted.
thank you will take those notes on board.
i have a law and business degree and google literate, ive been part of maintaining company websites, dealing with social media marketing and so on so hopefully i fit the criteria.
Have you worked for LF? what was the exam like?
Thanks again0 -

Hi - I work for Leapforce (I think you've made the right choice as it is definitely the most flexible of the three). The exam is hard but it is okay if you take it seriously and study, with your background you should have no problems. If you have specific questions, the Leapforce thread may be the best place to ask them.0 -

I did apply to LF. Spent about three days studying for the exam, but then couldn't access it due to a technical problem. They could've reset my account, but never responded to any of the 5 or so emails I sent asking for help. They did sort the problem for everyone who experienced the same thing, though.0 -

The "technical problem" is caused by having previously worked for LB, BTW, so will not affect you as a first timer.0 -
ive applied to app 3 now - LF was Sat lunch time - heard nothing still processing and did the other 2 today. i'll go whichever bites first i think. Im aware i cant work for all 3, but as ive not heard from LF or anything in terms of exams i thought i may as well apply for the other 2. so lets hope i get somewhere with one of them. I would like LF out of all of them though... but read there is no point in chasing application either. Could i be waiting for months?0

Hey Guys,
I applied for LF and thinking for applying to LB as well.
I read that you are not allowed to work with anyone else during time with LB! but never read such a condition on LF.
Can anyone confirm this?
Besides how can they find out that you are working with another company?
you might be unemployed and in desperate need for the money
so I am asking should I go on with the application to LB as well?
Thanks everyone.0 -
I applied for lb just after lf whilst waiting to hear from lf. Lb instantly declined my application as I was pending the lf application procedure.0

How did they find out?0
