Lightweight hoover

Hello,

I have a few mobility issues and so we are thinking of buying a lightweight hoover. I like the idea of a cordless one too.

We have mainly wooden floors with just one carpeted room and a small cat so cat hairs to consider.

Can anyone recommend a make and model?

Thanks,
Spider.

An AirRam would be ideal. They are quite expensive , but very, very light and easy to use.

The only problem with ours is that we have to frequently de-hair the brushes, but our dogs do have very long coats. Removing hair does seem much easier than with a conventional hoover, though(a couple of scissors clips and a gentle tug).

Mum bought an Air ram the other week. I didn't think it would be up to much, set it up for her and all I can say is I was amazed of how good it was. It was lightweight, she is really bad mobility wise and she gets it out everyday to hoover. She loves it.

She has 2 budgies who like to throw seed and feathers out the cage and it picks them up well.

Only negative, I would say is that the box at the bottom needs emptying often, it is only a small collection box. All in all Dear, but a good little hoover.

The time between emptying the pan depends on what is being hoovered up. Items like seeds cannot be compressed, but pet hair and dust can, so no need to empty until the contents form a little 'brick'.

We've had a variety over the years, including air ram. The only one we've kept is an oreck. Expensive but very good.
