Have been looking into going to Disneyland Paris - there is loads of info on the holiday forum but just wonder about going form Northern Ireland and what way folks on here have travelled.
What is the cheapest way to go ?? fly into Paris or fly into London and go Eurostar.
Also the hotels seems to be for 2 adults 2 children but we have 3 children!!
Anyone any ideas or info please...........

Hey BOBS
I went last year to DLP and loved it - I flew with easyjet into Paris
If you book it seperately you can save a fortune - alternatively there are some companies that do some good deal, e.g TERRA travel(local travel company, or CRESTA national company used to do good deals)
What I would advise is to go onto the DLP website and pretend to book a hotel through it - you only want to do this to find out when the quieter times of year are - it can have a huge difference on price!
Hotels really depend on how much you want to spend. You can go as extravagant or as cheap as you like. We stayed in the explorers hotel which is a thomas cook themed hotel, family rooms are available and or adjoining rooms and I would definately recommend it. It requires you to take the free flexi bus into the parks but this is only 5 mins -it's very close to the Disney Santa Fe hotel.
If you want to stay in a Disney hotel itself, Santa Fe is the furthest walk from the parks but the buses are available and no problem - I liked the look of the Cheyenne but didn't get a chance to go inside. If I remember rightly the Davy Crockett ranch is for people who are driving and probably requires you to have a car. Family rooms are definately available in all these hotels, and usually have bunks.
What time of year are you thinking of going?!?! I went in October and have to say it was a great time of year to go - not too busy, the weather was very mild and only rained once in 5 days. Also the Halloween decs were up and it was lovely to see it decorated for an occasion, i'm thinking of Christmas in it next year!

Hi, we have been twice now to disneyland paris. We travelled with Ryanair from Dublin. Fares were similar price but we liked the fact that they went out at 6.30 am so we were in Disneyland before lunch. It was a long, tiring day, but we felt we got the most out of our trip this way. We booked a private transfer from the airport as well which gave us about 2 hours longer in the park on our last day. Ryanair flights are also at good times in teh evenings. Any more information I can give you, please ask. You will all have a ball!!!! Wish I was going again this year - it is so nice at Christmas. If my post helps you, please click the 'thanks' button. :T0

We went to DLP with a 2 year old and 4 year old on the Easyjet flight. On arrival in CDG we took the TGV direct to the trainstation in Disney. It takes 10 minutes. Worked out cheaper than the taxis and shuttle bus as it was the evening train. We stayed in Disneys Cheyenne and the shuttle bus waits right outside the station so we were there in 2 minutes.
Next morning we were at the park for opening. No hassle whatsoever.
Coming back we left DLP and were checking in at the airport within 30 minutes. Couldnt beat that.
My kids loved it and with all the excitement the evening travel was no issue.
No point going to Dublin too much hassle I think.0 -
We are near Newry so Dublin is almost as close as Belfast for us. An evening flight wasn't really an option for us as we felt we were wasting a nights accommodation - with the 6.30am flight we had an extra day in the park.If my post helps you, please click the 'thanks' button. :T0

Thanks for the advice - DLP is something we said we would do at some point - kids 10, 7 and 5 - one off trip so I think they are all about the right age to enjoy. The 6.30am flight sounded fine until I allowed 3 hours travel to Dublin (North Coast) plus check in time - not sure - OH would be horrifed!
Chicksy - sorry but what is CDG and TGV ??
Going to spend an afternoon during the week and price it all out - see if Spring/Autumn works out better price.
Hopefully Disney website lets me book for family of 5 - seem to remember trying before and didnt work ?!?0 -
