Disneyland Paris

Hi, just looking for some advice. I would like to take my 5yo wannabee princess for a short break. It appears that easy-jet only do evening flights from Belfast. How does this work out? Also where is the best place to stay that is also value for money. Any ideas?

There's loads about Disneyland Paris on the holidays board here
    Just do a search there.
I'm sure you'll get loads of info, and if you post there, you're likely to get more replies.

Just a quick reply (i dont have the time at the mo to check out my facts on this) but i'd advise flying from dublin if easyjet are only flying evening flights - not much point in arriving in the evening time, and paying an extra night accomodation. We went a couple of years ago from dublin and went Air France i think.

We stayed in the resort itself at the Newport Bay Club hotel. It was amazing. Also dont forget the in resort hotels include your passes into the parks themselves, which offsets their price...

You'll love it by the way - amazing

  • Hi Hildagard, we were at Disney at Christmas. What do you have booked in advance? Do you have accommodation and tickets for entry to Disney booked? We have done the Beauvais route before and it's fine. Purchase tickets for the coach (takes 1 hour & poss only takes cash) from just outside the airport terminal into city centre and then take a train out towards Marne la Vallee (Disney). You may have to change train. The trains (RER and Metro) are easy to use and if you think you would use the Paris transport system over a few days I'd recommend taking a passport sized photo and buying a Navigo/Carte Orange pass (Euro 38 for Zones 1 to 5) but think it has to start Monday or later and lasts the rest of that week. If you need to book accommodation we stayed at a great place near the train station at Torcy, just 4 stops away from Disney and it was self catering so helped with the budget. If you want to go into Paris and have some Tesco vouchers, check out their website as we had a 1 hour cruise on the Seine and went to the top of Monparnasse 56 (tower block) courtesy of Tesco clubcard deals. We had great views of the city and timed it so that we could watch the sunset from the top as well. To save being ripped off, or hunting for a place to suit everyone at lunchtime, we took baguettes and other goodies into Disney for lunchtime and although we were searched on entry, nothing was ever said or taken away from us. I'd recommend some thermals if it's as cold in March as December, they worked a treat. Hope you have a super time, we certainly did, that was our 4th time. Shame about the euro - sterling rate....
  • thank you for all your information,it was great
hotel and park passes are included.its the transfer i am not sure about
can i ask you ,is it worth buying the half board meal plans that are prepaid and the character breakfast it all works out at £100 for the 2days for the third one you are travelling home. did you do the wild west show as my daughter is 6 regards hildagard

Have been several times. The Wild West show works out very dear. Food wise there's the Disney Village and about 8-9 restaurants. The german themed one (Ludwigs I think) worked out a lot dearer than the likes of the Rainforest just 50 yards down the road. Take a dander about the place and take a look at the menus. We had food in the hotel a couple of times (Sequoia Lodge ) and didn't book it. It was the same price roughly as the Village restaurants but a better choice of styles, and it was nicer. Enjoy!!
