Website subscription refund

I subscribed to an educational website 'twinkl' which offers printable resources and resources such as PowerPoints to use in lessons.
The resource I wanted stated that if I wanted to access this resource I needed to subscribe the platinum subscription. I followed the link attached to the resource and happily paid £39.95 for full membership as I thought I would use several resources.
However, once paying I returned to the resource only to then discover which I couldn't see before that I needed 'flipchart' software to access the resource.
I have emailed requesting a refund as I cannot use the resources I require.
They have refused saying they don't offer refunds and I should download programme I need. I cannot do this as my laptop is works and I do not have admin rights, nor will school Ict support allow me to download anything new.
They also said because I downloaded a few other items - they would not offer a refund.
Any advice?
Thanks

If they made it clear on the page that additional software would be required they have done nothing wrong, and as they say you have downloaded other resources so have already started to use the service they are providing so you are not entitled to a refund.
Your options really are
1: ask your IT department/head teacher if you can have the required software installed, if it is safe software and for the good of your pupils I don't see why they would say no.
2: install the software on a personal PC instead
3: continue to use the other resources on the site but not the ones needing additional software
4: do nothing0 -
I use Twinkl and the platinum has lots of other good things. Anyway, regardless.
1. You say you bought platinum for a particular resource, which you then later found out you could not use (whether you should have known that or not)
2. Instead of immediately asking for a refund because your chosen resource was incompatible, you downloaded OTHER platinum resources?
You can't use it, then say 'oh actually this hasnt got what I wanted'
You have clearly used the service, so you have to pay for it.0
