Does anyone know what this tree is? Bought a new house but the owner doesn't know what it is.

The photo's a bit blurry - can you get a sharper one plus a close-up of the leaves?

Sorry, no help to offer, but just wanted to say its a lovely and unusual looking tree. I would love to have that in my Garden. The trunk shapes and the crown look really nice.
I know my spelling is shocking  It is alot better than it used to be though :rotfl:

Thanks. Apparently lots of the plants came from an exhibition 20years ago, can't wait to get in and see what's in there.

When I saw that, no idea what it is, it reminded me of a similar tree years ago that had a "slim/furry pine cone" on it - that'd leave your hands full of burgundy/brown furry stuff when you touched it.

Second visit, snapped another pic. Suspect this might turn into "please identify all the plants in my garden"!

Can't tell you the name of it 'till I get a reply back from my Italian SIL who grows them from seed.
I can tell you that one is very old as they're very slow growing and only hardy after they're mature. They make good house plants when small.
They are very popular in Italy, and grown in pots there often.
