MacKenzie Hall ??? anyone heard of them?

Hi

Can anyone help me with a query?

I noticed today that a company called Mackenzie Hall has done a credit search on my file with equifax. I've never heard of this company and 99.9% sure that i don't have any outstanding debts with them or anyone else. I tried to contact them and ask why they did a search only to be told that they could not give me any details without a reference number, the guy was very rude on the phone.

Has anyone had any dealings with company as I have since found out that they are a debt recovery agency (i think??)

thanks in advance

I've moved your thread to DFW as I'm sure someone will have heard of them here. I have a feeling there is a thread about them in the Vent Board though.

There are, indeed, MANY threads about this gang of sub-culture thugs. They masquerade under the loose title of 'debt collectors', but they are really not nice people to know.
The most probable reason that they were poking their grubby noses into your credit file is that they are looking for any old debts or defaults against you, in order that they can 'bounty hunt'.
If the 'person' that you spoke to was simply 'very rude' then you probably spoke to the most polite of this gang of 'legalised criminals'.
They are a most vile bunch of dross.

    Hope this helps.

And not a good word to say about them in any of the 44 threads.

    Hiya

Could it be anything to do with me joining equifax within the last week because i'm also with experian but nothing showing up on there!

Kinda glad I didn't give them any details. Oh dear, should I expect a 'red card' from them?

Probably - they just 'fish' all credit reference agencies, looking for prey.

If they contact, or attempt to contact, you - just ignore them. Never give them any personal details.
