Hi everyone
Yesterday i received a ticket on my windscreen for failing to display a parking ticket on the dashboard. Upon getting back in my car it appears that the ticket had fallen off the dashboard and onto the floor.
My parking ticket was purchased at a machine where i had to input my car registration.
What should my next course of action be?
Thanks for any replies!
Paul

Hi Paul,
Welcome to the forum.
With SiP the forum advice is to appeal early to the windscreen notice (classed as the Notice to Driver) but as the Registered Keeper - reason is they probably won't send out a Notice to Keeper and instead go straight to debt collector stage so it's best to avoid that.
Read the NEWBIES sticky thread and send the 1st appeal template letter you will find there
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4816822
when you get a rejection letter (expected result btw) come back on (and read up in the meantime) - see NEWBIES thread post #3 for How to Win at POPLA - the forum will then help you fine tune your POPLA appeal0 -

However, I think we forget that we are in the days of instant gratification. No reflection on the current OP but there are many, many people out there who want their problem solved now, need to be spoon-fed and then patted on the head at every stage.
Emotional intelligence would appear to be diminishing as quickly as general intelligence amongst the Google generation. Years ago we couldn't discover something immediately had to wait until the library opened the following day.My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -
I would follow the advice in post #2 if I was you. I'm a little disappointed in the other two replies on here, sorry but they are not helpful but rather condescending to anyone reading them. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Thankyou for the positive and reassuring replies. Yes i have read the stickies but still chose to seek advice for my own personal reassurance of which i am free to do. Rather than post a negative or condescending reply it would have been best to not reply at all!
Thankyou once again for the positive replies to my situation!0 -
Sorry - we all want you to win but you'd be astonished at all the new threads which look like the poster hasn't even read the sticky threads - even though they started a new thread, so must have sat there looking at page one to have done so. Glad in fact, you've read what to do and how to win!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
