PPI for old loans and cc

apologies - i'm new to this bandwagon. I've read up on all the detail, but there is one thing that I need to verify. I have a lot of old loans, that I believe I was still paying for 6 years ago, and some ran into the other, so I could be looking at about 10 years of PPI on one. I have an Equifax report, but I don't see details of this loan, nor do I see another CC that I definitely had recently. How can I get these details? Is this the SAR letter?

Problem is when I moved house again 2 years ago, I burnt most of my historical paperwork, about 20 years worth!

Thanks all x

A Subject Access Request (SAR) letter costs £10 and requires the Bank to provide all information it has kept on file for you for at least five years and (sometimes) more.

No one here can tell you whether the Bank will still have the information you require.

I sent a SAR to Nat West after the 40 day wait expired I Had to chase them up and 14 days later they sent me 7 years of data and copy loan agreements that were going back ten years.

Not all banks will send data that in my case was of help .
