Think my laptop got infected with virus?

When I switched on my laptop the background had this pink hue, and later I noticed the entire screen seems pixelated, especially the bottom right part. Tried restarting laptop, checked plug isn't squashed by something, and it's still pink. Ran spybot to check for spyware and found nothing. Found nothing on combofix, found nothing on malwarebytes, found nothing on avira antivirus, norton antivirus, avast antivirus, spywareblaster... Opened laptop to see if graphics card is loose but it's not. But after cleaning my temporary files and in the process of searching for driver updates via windows update, the laptop screen looked like it's back to normal. This laptop costed me over £3000 and I had it for over 2 years.

So it wasn't malware or a virus, but a malformed or outdated device driver? If you paid £3,000 for a Windows laptop - someone saw you coming!
