Entrants must be aged 18+ at entry and be a parent/guardian of a child aged 6 to 10 at the time of the match. The winner will be drawn from all valid entries.
The winner will be contacted from 12pm on Wednesday, May 14. Should we be unable to contact the winner or should the winner be unable to confirm acceptance of the prize within 24 hours of being notified an alternative winner may be selected.
The dates of the prize fall within term time for some schools. Neither the Telegraph Media Group nor McDonald's Restaurants Limited condones unauthorised absence from school. It is therefore a condition of entry that the winner provides proof of authorisation from their child’s school for the child to participate in the prize.

Prize Description and Conditions
The prize comprises the following for one Player Escort (being a child of the Entrant who must be between 6 and 10 years old inclusive on 13 July 2014) and one chaperone (being the Entrant)
- A four day trip to Brazil between 10 July 2014 and 14 July 2014.
- The right for the Player Escort child to accompany a football team player out onto the pitch at the beginning of the FIFA World Cup™ final match on 13 July 2014, and the right for the Entrant and the Player Escort to attend that match.
- Return economy flights to Brazil from a London airport chosen at McDonald’s discretion.
- One night’s stay in a hotel near the London airport the night before departure being 9 July 2014, that hotel selected at McDonald’s discretion.
- Airport transfers in Brazil.
- Shared (double room) accommodation for 3 nights in a hotel chosen at McDonald’s discretion.
- Breakfast, lunch and dinner each day of the trip in Brazil.
- Cultural activities arranged by McDonald’s.
- Travel insurance.
Please note:
- Personal spending money is not included in the prize.
- It is the responsibility of the Entrant to ensure they and the child Player Escort are medically fit to travel, they have recommended vaccinations and malaria tablets, and relevant visas to travel to Brazil.
The award of each prize is conditional upon
(i) compliance with the terms and conditions for tickets and stadia including all health and safety requirements; any person in violation will be refused entry to or expelled from the stadium with no right of compensation. Further details available upon request;
(ii) the parent or legal guardian (the winner) of each prospective Player Escort accompanying that child;
(iii) THE PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN OF THE PLAYER ESCORT TO OBTAINING PERMISSION FROM THE RELEVANT EDUCATION AUTHORITY FOR ANY TIME OUT OF EDUCATION REQUIRED TO USE THE PRIZE. EVIDENCE OF THIS AUTHORISATION MUST BE PROVIDED TO MCDONALD’S IN ADVANCE OF THE TRIP AS A CONDITION OF THE PRIZE. MCDONALD’S ACCEPTS NO LIABILITY IN THE EVENT THAT THE WINNER DOES NOT OBTAIN OR PROVIDE TO MCDONALD’S THAT AUTHORISATION. IN THE EVENT THAT NO AUTHORISATION IS PROVIDED TO MCDONALD’S, THE PRIZE SHALL BE FORFEITED; and
(iv) the receipt by McDonald's of the properly completed, designated, liability release form(s) (prepared by McDonald's and releasing, wherever permitted by law, McDonald's and the relevant football association, their related companies, franchisees and agencies concerned with conducting this Promotion and their respective employees, officers and agents from responsibility or liability for claims from the Player Escort or the parent/guardian in respect of the prize) and certification form (which will include undertakings that the person is the parent/guardian of the Player Escort, that they have complied with the Official Rules and they will accompany the Player Escort) - the Player Escort being aged between 6 and 10 years old on 13 July 2014.
Prize includes official Player Escort Programme clothing comprising shorts and shirt but children MUST bring their own trainers to wear on the pitch and which must not be studded. McDonald’s reserves the right to refuse entry to any child which does not comply with these requirements without compensation.
The winner can claim a contribution towards reasonable travel costs for travel to and from the London airport from which flights depart and return for the trip. Any such claim will be reviewed by McDonald’s and McDonald’s may, in its discretion, make a payment by cheque addressed to the Entrant and post it to the address registered upon entering within 21 days after the trip. The amount of such contribution shall be determined by McDonald's assessment (in its sole discretion) of the approximate road-distance between the said residential address and the London airport at the highest applicable rate (only) of the following: Under 50 miles - £30, under 100 miles - £50, under 150 miles - £100, under 250 miles - £150 and 250 miles or over - £200. The actual mode/cost of transport taken by the Player Escort, parent/guardian and (if applicable) other companion(s) will not affect the amount of the contribution.
Additional tickets cannot be purchased in the same area as the one designated for the Player Escorts and the Entrant to sit to watch the match and may only be purchased via the general public sale (subject to availability). Each Player Escort and their accompanying parent/guardian must follow the instructions of the staff of McDonald's and any associated agencies, the relevant football association/stadium when claiming the prize and whilst at the venue.
Player Escorts shall not be permitted to select the team whose kit they will wear and shall not be permitted to select the player who they will escort onto the pitch for the match.
Player Escorts and their accompanying parent/guardian agree to enter into any waivers/clearances requested by McDonald's or the Promoter in relation to usage by McDonald's or the Promoter in its marketing (including on the Site) of any footage and photographs taken of the Player Escorts and all companions (including the accompanying parent/guardian).
Total approximate retail value of prize is £10,100. Actual value of prize may vary based on point of departure. Any difference between stated value and actual value will not be awarded.
Trip must be taken on dates specified by Promoter or prize will be forfeited and the Promoter and McDonald’s will have no further obligation to winner. Winner and child (between the ages of 6 and 10 on 13 July 2014) must travel together on the same itinerary and are responsible for having any required travel-related documents (including valid photo ID and any required passport or visa) prior to departure as well as fulfilling any/all travelling requirements.
McDonald’s reserves the right to change dates. Travel must be made through McDonald’s agent, on a carrier of McDonald’s choice. Prize includes only those items listed and does not include: additional ground or other transportation not expressly included above, car rental or rentals, expenses of any kind, personal, medical, health, hospital and trip cancellation insurance (apart from such insurance notified by McDonald’s), airport or other taxes and fees, gratuities, excess baggage fees, communication charges, meals not expressly detailed in these Official Rules, beverages (including alcoholic beverages) not expressly detailed in these Official Rules, in-room expenses, souvenirs, gratuities, sightseeing and any other expenses not expressly stated above. Winner may be required to provide a credit card at time of hotel check-in to cover hotel incidentals.
All federal, state and local taxes and all other costs associated with prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being provided are the sole responsibility of the winner. Tickets are subject to certain terms and conditions as specified thereon. Seat locations will be determined by McDonald’s. Winner and guest must comply with all venue rules and regulations. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of such portion of prize. In the event McDonald’s is unable to provide tickets to the World Cup, no compensation or substitution will be provided in lieu thereof; however, remainder of prize package will be awarded and McDonald’s will have no further obligation to winner. Winner may not substitute, assign or transfer prize, but McDonald’s reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to substitute a prize with one of comparable or greater value.
All prize details are at McDonald’s and the Promoter’s sole discretion. Potential Winner and Player Escort are responsible for having any required travel-related documents (including valid photo ID and any required passport or visa) prior to departure as well as fulfilling any/all travelling requirements.
As a condition of entering, Entrants agree that, to the extent permitted by law, the Promoter, McDonald’s, F!d!ration Internationale de Football Association (“FIFA”), and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries and affiliated companies, franchisees, prize providers, advertising and promotion agencies, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents are released, will have no liability whatsoever for, and shall be held harmless by Entrants against any liability for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind to person(s), including death, or property resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of a prize or participation in this Promotion or any Promotion-related activities, including any prize-related travel except where death or personal injury is caused by that party’s negligence. Except where legally prohibited, winners grant (and agree to confirm that grant in writing) permission to the Promoter, McDonald’s and those acting under McDonald’s authority the right to the use of his/her name, picture, likeness, voice, biographical information and statements, and any blog or writing by the Entrant or Player Escort in relation to or about the Prize or otherwise for the Purpose of the Promotion at any time or times, for advertising, trade, publicity and promotional purposes without additional compensation, in all media now known or hereafter discovered, worldwide and on the Internet and World Wide Web, without notice, review or approval.
