    Any news on asbestos testing?

    None present
I think Ed said a bit above it had come back ok :D

Thanks Ed, appreciate your (non expert :D) non financial advice

It's just the 1 toddler, it's all I can afford :D not cheap little things are they :rotfl:

I think you wrote toddlers (you meant belonging to one toddler, I thought you meant multiple toddlers!) :)

Absolutely knackered. Lurgy still present, was building a nice Ike@ TV bench until 23:35 today and it turned out that it was too big to wall mount where we wanted it. So basically I wasted £100 and 4+ hours  Hopefully inlaws will be able to use it in their newly refurbished level, it's very sleek and modern. Still, what a chuffing waste of time. DD also very upset with lurgy, was up with her from 04:00 cuddling and trying to calm her down. Not feeling like a very good parent today, terse and cursingy :o

TV is wall mounted, very smart and useful. The contractor did a good job, although I felt a little bit like they led me down the path of least resistance re. setup for their convenience. They're related to a colleague, so lesson learned on that front ;)

DD and I had a nice (if expensive) Daddy daughter date for breakfast, scrambled eggs for her and a full Scottish for me (burp) :D

    That's enough smileys for now.

Aaaand it appears that our new plumber is a flake. Booked him in last week for yesterday, no show claiming a dead van, now making excuses in general. !!!!!!, why are people so against getting £££ for 40 minutes work? Deleted him from phone contacts, back to the drawing board.

    Morning Mr E

Belated happy birthday to Miss E - can't believe where that year has gone!

I feel your frustration about the workman. So annoying when they do that. I had the same with a plumber last year. He had been out for previous 2 years and serviced the boiler and then last year appeared to fall off the edge of the planet  How hard would it have been to say no thanks, I no longer want the work? Hope you find a more reliable one this time round

    Have a lovely weekend

    BW
  • He was going to do the work. "Presently"
