I was wondering that, had visions of a super duper ginormous effort, don't spoil my envy and tell me it's only 4 x 6Debt Free Diary - Second Chances! Life in a Tourer........Debt free, building a savings pot0

Not planning anything that big, think they're a bit strict as regards permitted development, more research required methinks
Slow day at work (Christmas mood kicking in, tools being downed by many), spending some time selling off any Funding C1rcle loans that look dodgy (think I have 25 or so of the 300+ currently held to sell off). Anything with a whiff of 'deadbeat' is being sold.0 -
Just out of interest, what do you consider to be 'deadbeat' ?0

Anyone with a history of paying late or having their risk rating removed (anything with a comment that isn't innocuous)0 -
Planning empathy. We needed permission to fence the garden - and - had plans turned down a couple of times 'til I had a Watty Strop on the phone as a result of which I just happened to mention what turned out to be 'magic words' to the man and permission was granted (In our case magic words were 'native hedge' in front of a 5 foot close boarded fence - close boarded fence was turned down but I needed it to keep dog in and my intention was to plant a native hedge beside it. Permission granted on the basis of native hedge - and - they even offered to let me tag the plant order on to one of theirs to get at a totally reduced priceMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -

Loving this! Isn't planning permission only required when something takes over more than a certain percentage of the available land, or is over a certain percentage of the existing area of the house, something like that?2023: the year I get to buy a car0

So the year is slowly grinding to a fairly relaxed close. Work has been very slow for the last few days, IT issues, finishing up today.
- No luck printing FIT application, will probably end up going to the library after swimming tomorrow
- Sold off most of my underperforming Funding C1rcle loans, and listed a bunch of slightly lower interest rate ones (everything under 12.1%) at a 1% premium. Surprisingly enough, a reasonable number have sold since yesterday (FC is an overly large part of my portfolio already, need other P2P to represent a larger share)
- All lightbulbs in the house are now LEDs, replacement light glass fitted for the one that I broke
- Payday tomorrow, Mrs E salary has now dropped to bare bones, we will only just cover our fixed expenses this month
- Having a bit of a foodie Christmas, lots of lovely things like Scottish smoked fish and cheese, salmon caviar and champagne
- Work Christmas do cancelled, can't make friends Christmas party as looking after DD (Mrs E will go instead)
- House is tidyish and we won't need to do much to keep this ticking over during the holidays
