I was going to say that I didn't know any female whisky drinkers, but that's nonsense, Mrs E likes a dram
There were some seriously good deals last week was all. Picked up some lovely ones including a 21 year old whiskey finished in Sauternes casks reduced from £119 to £68 :beer:0 -

I don't share my plan with anyone other than Mrs E, most people find the idea of saving a wee bit threatening
I learned my lesson after trying to explain MB to a few people - reactions varied from eyes glazed over to panic as they tried to wrap their head around it...
I had a MB convo the other day in work, well when I say convo what happened was people started talking about betting on Epsom and asked me if I gambled, I replied " Well I used to MB but thats not really gambling, although when I occasionally had a lot of money sitting on a bet it was nerve wracking I spose" this then turned the convo onto how I am addicted to gambling and stand to loose everything,
When I have convo's regarding FIRE I get similar hostile responses, this however I think is more about the placement I am in more than anything else, I have spoken to others about MB and they were interested in it, some even tried it themselves and made money so it's swings and roundabouts really.0 -
You are addicted to gambling?0

Aye ... cause didnt you know MB is gambling lol, I wasnt given any opportunity to explain anything just shouted at so gave up in the end ... honestly I have been so struggling with this placement, then yesterday I figured out why I was struggling to fit in, now that I know what the issue is I know how to deal with it, basically take my breaks alone and dont talk to any co-workers, just go in and do what I am told, get it signed off then move on ... job done0

I feel a bit like that at the office sometimes, surrounded by numpties. Thankfully there is the odd bright spark who can maintain an adult conversation
How is the weather in your neck of the woods today? Blimmin' miserable here!0 -
Bucketting it down ... windy and very heavy rain ... i'm still in ma jammies and spending the day surfing watching Outlander and looking out of the window at the weather, gonna be time for a fire soon I reckon

The wee one is finally asleep after grumping all morning. Her appetite is growing, which is leading to a few sore tummies as she adjusts to the larger portions. Mrs E is resting on the couch, she has told me that she is 'just resting her eyes' twice in the last hour
I am chilled out enjoying paternity leave and updating spreadsheets.
Is Outlander good? Mrs E fancies it.0 -
