Lost house keys

There's no emergency since we have plenty of spare keys, but I want to change the locks on the front and back doors.
They're both uPVC doors with normal euro cylinder style locks. I don't know whether it would be cheaper to buy new cylinders and replace them myself or to take the old cylinders to a locksmith and get new keys made.
I'm guessing the main thing to avoid is paying a locksmith to come out over a bank holiday weekend.

Getting new keys made from the existing barrel will result in you having to get another mortgage to pay the locksmith.
You can buy a decent quality anti-bump eurolock for around £20. 5minute job to replace them.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0 -
I forgot there's a locksmith round the corner from my office. I asked in there and was advised just to buy new locks. It's dead easy, and I've done it now, but it seems a waste not to carry on using the old locks.0
