It makes no difference - you will still be supplied by OVO :)

Your application may be dealyed a few days whilst the CEC passes it to OVO, but then if you go direct you'll miss out on potential cashback.

I'm sure you can get better cashback than through the CEC - check out Martins guide :)

Are you sure you can't buy cheaper than OVO?

I wouldn't use the cheap energy club as several people have reported problems doing so (several threads about it including this one: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4936269)

Don't go direct either, there are lots of other cashback and comparison sites. I used Quidco (£14) with energyhelpline (£40), prices may have changed now though.

Well, I haven't yet, so might not, but haven't had any problems in the past. Energyhelpline were offering £40 cashback when switching to Ovo and Quidco tracked £14 for doing a switch through Energyhelpline.

You should have used Martin's link.

You'd have got £15 rather than the £14 Quidco offered.
(The additional £40 special promotion cashback would not have been affected either way)
