Cancelling a mattress purchase from Dreams

Hi all,
I'm unused to forums so forgive me if I have posted incorrectly..
Me and my partner bought a mattress from dreams yesterday 01/05/2014, to be delivered in roughly 2 weeks.
After getting home we found our current mattress was very similar to the one ordered and was unlikely to help with back pain, so we decided to cancel.
This is less than 24 hours from leaving the shop.
I was then told I could not cancel, due to having signed the sales agreement.
I have signed the agreement but my partner paid for it on a credit card.
Can they refuse to cancel so shortly after?
I do not want this mattress as it will be of little use solving the problem.
Any help would be gratefully received as £613 could be far better used!

Yes.

Why not change it to another more suitable one? They might do that for you.
