So I'm still none the wiser on my original question but thank you for all the advise around all the issues involved.
I don't claim to be an expert on the mechanics of the banking system. What I can tell you for certain, from an employment point of view, is that whilst it is perfectly reasonable to expect to be paid on the correct day it is not reasonable / realistic to expect it to be at or by a particular time.
I would be very concerned that they have not paid on the due day and that it looks as if it will be, at best, three days late. I would concentrate your efforts at urgently addressing the issues that raises.0 -
I never really said I expected it to be by a certain time it was merely a query, as I said in my opening post to start with "it's not a big deal I was just wondering". To be honest I think I'm finding this forum quite difficult to deal with and perhaps I'm being misunderstood or misunderstanding people or the overall tone of the forum itself.
I'm sorry if I've wasted anyone's time and I do appreciate all the advice, I never intended to use the information regarding BACS to demand anything from my partners boss, I was simply wondering if it was possible that she was lying about how she is paying my partner and she does indeed have these financial issues that we need to think about as his job may be at risk.
As I said previously perhaps I've been overly sensitive and it is hard to judge tone within written communication but I have to say some comments I've had have come across a little unfriendly.
Thank you to everyone who has given advice though, and I am being sincere, it is all appreciated and I will pass on the information to my partner.0 -
