HSBC to increase interest rates

HSBC is to increase to its Online Saver, up 0.25 per cent to 6.25 per cent from 3 August.

HSBC’s other savings customers will also benefit from the Monetary Policy Committee’s July base rate rise, with the bank passing on the full 0.25 per cent increase to its Flexible Saver, Cash Mini ISA, standard Online Saver, HSBC Premier Savings and children’s savings accounts from 3 August 2007.

Excellant. I just hope HSBC don't make me jump through hoops as an exisiting customer to get these better rates (see closing old Online Saver accounts and reopening to get 6% rate for new customer threads)
