I have one of these tablets and in my opinion its absolutely fantastic. A perfect size to hold - for me the 7 inch tablets were just too small and the larger ipads are simply too heavy to hold for any length of time.

I paid a similar amount on a special offer around christmas time and I thought (and still think) that the price is fantastic for what you get. I really wanted a black one but at the time it was only the white ones that were on offer.
    The screen is great.

Yes, there is a newer 'pro' version but that is around £300.

My usage - email, general browsing (10%), the game called '2048' (10%) and netflix (80%)
  • I have the Samsung Note 8 inch tablet, I only got this one because of a good price for a short time other wise I would have got the Tab 3, the size is great as I also found the 7 inch to small. Magic price for a good brand

I have just bought this from curry's as the price was good. FYI as a bonus the one I got came with a free 16GB sd card and comes with a free accidental damage insurance (you need to apply for that online though).

Overall I am very pleased with this tab it is fantastic value. From my investigations It is also a relatively significant upgrade on the 7" as it has a faster processor and a better screen. The 8" is also thinner than the 7" and I believe weighs the same.

Bought the same model from Curry's prior to Xmas and it cost £179 I think. It is great. Any issues you have, come back here. The only thing that affected me was that when I synced to laptop, yes it brought everything across that it should, but a pop-up box came with it to, informing me that something had stopped. I resolved that by unsyncing, removing my favs and re-installing them via google. I am confident this isn't an issue with this model, merely something on laptop that clashed.

Hmm stupid question how do you have more than one user account or don't you, seems a bit of an over sight?

Can thoroughly recommend too, bought one from Tesco just before Christmas for £149.

Ignore any comments you might read from hyper-critical 'experts' who are going purely by the specs. Yes there are better specs about, but usually for a fair bit more money. And a lot of the professional reviews online are based on when it was retailing at between 2 and 300 quid.
