Will I be allowed to continue driving?

I've just undergone the first of a series of tests for Aspergers Syndrome having been driving accident free for over 30 years. If they discover I have Aspergers which is looking very likely, will I have to give up driving?
If you want proper advice, please consult a legal professional. I am not one! Thanks.

Just sounds like a standard generic thing, you could replace "aspergers" with "smelly feet" and it'd make no less sense.

My business partner is autistic yet he passed his car and bike tests within 5 weeks of turning 17 with no prior lessons and then went on to become a qualified electrician, so I don't see why Aspergers should preclude you from driving.
Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car
Oversteer is when you hit a wall with the back of your car
Horsepower is how fast your car hits the wall
Torque is how far your car sends the wall across the field once you've hit it

No, I don't know if you ever watched 'The Undateables' on Channel 4 but there was a guy on there that had Aspergers and he drove.

No not in many cases, your obviously competent to drive with your driving back ground. that's something you need to discuss with specialist while your at your diagnosis (usually called stage 2). you do need to report it to DVLA as a medical condition post diagnosis.

Not sure really... people with epilepsy have to voluntarily hand back their license.

I really don't think there should be any issues - especially as you've already spent 30 years behind the wheel!

If there was a medical issue that arose and due to that you had random black outs for example, then yes. But Aspergers, can't see it really.

LOL. For a moment I forgot what aspergers meant and assumed OP meant parkinsons or alzeheimers.

Yes, I do, but I took from the previous post that people don't have to hand their license back due to medical conditions. In some cases, they certainly do.
