Would like to change BBC1 regional news back.

We've had Freesat for about three years and live in Dorset, which is mid-way between the two tv region South and South/West. Initially when the Freesat was set up, the engineer programmed BBC1 for South, but after a while, we felt we were more interested in the South/West news and I remember going into Menu and somehow making the change to South/West.
Last week, I did a manual re-tune and we gained many new channels, but in doing so, BBC1 regional news reverted back to South.
I can't remember how to/the route for resetting this, can anyone help please?.
PS, as if by magic, I've just had a thought. When the installation took place, he needed the postcode and I vaguely remember him telling me that were I to enter a postcode of a place further along the coast, (as in south/west), that would do it. Maybe that's what I did before, does this sound about right?

Freesat has all the regional news channels, they start on channel 950.0

Changing your postcode will change your main regional stations, although as daveyjp says the BBC local channels are all there anyway. Not sure about other regional channels though.
One thing to look out for when changing your postcode. I believe it resets all your recording preferences so anything you've set to record, one off or series link will be lost. You may want to make a note of them if you do to make re-adding easier.0 -
Yes, having given that thought overnight, my first quest was to scroll through and make notes of everything that is set to record so that after reset, I can ensure everything is back where it should be.
Yes, I am aware ALL the regional channels start at 950, but in the grand scheme of things, we like BBC1 to have our chosen regional channel. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
