APTIO (AMI) BIOS POST stuff

Hi - bit of an obscure one. A friend has a zoostorm/msi desktop. Boot takes ages and displays 3 pages with numbers B4, 92, B2 in a corner (bizarre never seen this before).
I guess it is some sort of POST display?
I went into the BIOS and think its something to do with the boot order (USB is first) and a usb card-reader is plugged in. I think the BIOS is trying to boot each card-reader device (a long shot?).
Tried to put HDD as first boot device in BIOS settings don't seem to save (even if I manually save).
Any suggestions? (actually just thought of one - unplug the card-reader;)

F10 normally saves changes to the BIOS settings followed by Y (Yes) to confirm. Check the motherboard manual to confirm.
Still no joy, then try using the BIOS default settings.0 -
Is the computer keeping the time correctly? It could be that the BIOS battery is flat, therefore unable to keep your saved settings.0
