Natwest Mortgage HMRC income checks

Options
Hi all,

I made my mortgage application via Natwest Bank on the 3rd Apr 2014. I passed the credit checks (B rating) and provided them 12 months pay slips; 10 months part-time and 2 months full time at the same employment.

I asked for an update on the 25th Apr and was told that they want my written authority to ask HMRC to confirm my income details. I have given them the written authority but Natwest is unable tell me how long it will take the HMRC to complete the verification.

I am very anxious and urgently need your comments on the timeline it will take, and the likely outcome of the application please.

I regret so much that I made the mortgage application with the Natwest Bank as they delay in sending me a simple form and providing necessary answers.

Since you suggested me to contact the HMRC; you are saying HMRC have a department and answer calls about my type of inquiries. How come I cannot find any contact details to reach the relevant department at the HMRC?

    Customer services?
It probably has a name completely unrelated to what it is. Call them up and let them point you in the right direction.

You'll need your national insurance number and possibly your employer's PAYE reference from your P60.
