Strange parcel received

I have received a large parcel today, properly addressed to me using a sellotaped on label and showing a number of other labels suggesting it has come from the Far East via Europe.
Opened it to find what I think is a wedding dress, it is tightly sealed and I am sure if I do try and unpack it I'll never get it back in the bag. Its definitely more than a veil and it appears to have a heavier bit, possibly a corset style top. It is certainly of the cheap and nasty variety though because at first we thought it was some sort of really fancy enormous mosquito net.
Odd thing is I haven't bought a wedding dress nor anything in that category. I am waiting for about 40 items, all small and absolutely nothing in any category that could be mistaken for a wedding dress.
I suppose I either email every seller asking them if they sent this or just wait until I have received everything outstanding and see what's missing.
There is no label, no packing slip and nothing at all to identify the sender.

You don't have a fiance! who is trying to surprise you by any chance?? Just a thought although if so, his taste in wedding dresses is not up to much sadly........'And our dreams will break the boundaries of our fears'0

Ohhh, how mysterious...
perhaps the buyer of the wedding dress will contact the seller when they perhaps receive your item, and the seller might then contact you?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

Ha, no.... Been married for many many years and could certainly afford something better than this if I did want to renew vows. It really doesn't look good quality at all, all scratchy net and a rather unpleasant ivory colour.Ohhh, how mysterious...

I've shoved it back in the packaging for now and will store it in my wardrobe until I hear something. Most of my outstanding items are less than £5 so I can't imagine the poor woman waiting for this dress is going to be happy with the error.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Having mixed results with stuff from China lately. Had a few arrive within 7 days. Another package arrived today that i ordered last thursday.
But still waiting for a few items ordered on the 10th. Had to ask for a refund on one item that didnt work.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

I've the same experience as you just recently. I had got used to routinely waiting 30-40 days for stuff, but two weeks ago I received several packages within 8 days of payment , I have waited longer than that for some UK parcels. Yet I also have some 30 day + items..so I can't even narrow this down to a likely seller.
And I have no idea if it is my OHs size, but I really don't think it is his colour :cool:I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. The only way you can find out is to look at the sellers other items, although to do that for 40 x eBay sellers is a bit much.
Not as bad as the Pallet load of high-end communication electronics we got in 2012, with our name & address details on the courier label & its still sat in our warehouse, as no-one has been in touch.0 -

Oh dear...I wouldn't have room for a pallet of anything!
I have actually had a quick look through some of the sellers shops where I am waiting for items, nothing at all wedding related so far except for some table scatter rose leaf thingies- retailing at around £3.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I hope the future bride isn't on here and reads this.... It really doesn't look good quality at all, all scratchy net and a rather unpleasant ivory colour. .

I may well have saved her from it actually. I have seen some VERY nice wedding dresses from the Far east- this is not one of them.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Perhaps it's a fancy dress costume if it's that tacky looking. Maybe a search of completed items and 'fancy dress wedding costume', 'bride fancy dress' or similar will reveal your seller.December 'Make £10 A Day' Challenge - £1.82/£155.000
