Well a nodding toy dog anyway. Churchill, in the assumptions. - In the last 5 years have you or any of the drivers had any insurance product cancelled or declared void by an insurer? - 5 years, being the key point, so gone is the nonsense about having to declare for life, and which, if they others follow, will also upset all the doom and gloom merchants on here that seem to enjoy telling unfortunate posters at every turn they can never get mainstream insurance again. You can tell them to go to Churchill instead. £100 for my car insurance, for the year, after cashback as well.

It's not the sort of thing other Insurers will rush to copy as it tends to be the type of clients they don't want.
I would not be surprised if Churchill change the acceptance in a few years. This is because this type of change to acceptance means a lot of the drivers with voided or cancelled policies will take out policies with Churchill, if they subsequently find they have too many for their liking and / or they receive a disproportionate number of claims it tends to cause the Insurer to revert back to their original acceptance criteria.
Good spot though, it will be helpful to be able to recommend a company to posters0 -
I heard that the regulator had asked insurance companies to start doing this voluntarily since the "screwed for life" policy was rather unfair. Even criminal motoring convictions are usually only considered for five years.0

I'd be more surprised if the rest weren't forced to follow them. A penalty for life is unfair, particularly as the insurers have no accountability, and act as judge and jury.0
