Halifax Saying No, Is This Right????

LAST YEAR I PUT A CLAIM IN FOR UNFAIR BANK CHARGES AND IT WENT LIKE A DREAM, I GOT MY MONEY BACK WITHIN 1MONTH.

SINCE THEN I HAVE STEADILY PAID OFF MY OVERDRAFT AND GOT IT DOWN TO ZERO, ONLY TO BE TOLD THAT THERE WAS £40 "INTEREST DEBITED" THAT I SHOULD PAY, I DISPUTED THIS BUT THEY KEEP ADDING ON EXTRA "INTEREST DEBITED" NO NOW THEY SAY I OWE AROUND £100.

I HAVE STARTED A CLAIM AGAIN BUT RECIEVED A LETTER TODAY SAYING THAT WHEN I CLAIMED LAST YEAR, I WAS TOLD THAT ANY FURTHER CHARGES WOULD STAND AND THAT MY PAYMENT WAS FULL AND FINAL.

I KNOW IT'S NOT A VAST AMOUNT BUT TO HONEST THE HALIFAX HAVE MESSED ME AROUND SO MUCH, THAT I WANT THE MONEY BACK PURELY ON PRINCIPLE.

ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE MOST APPRECIATED, THANKS DEBBIE

i was told by the halifax that if they pay out in a claim they are not doing it because its unlawful charges but as a gesture of goodwill. And that any other charges ever applied to the account after pay out would have to be paid.
:T This site is great! Thanks to Martin Lewis & everyone who participates and helps so many people! Without you all, where would we be ??:T

Yeah well, they can say a lot of things, but as long as you didn't sign anything stating you wouldn't claim again, you can do what you like. If they don't budge, file a court claim.
    Reclaimed thanks to this site:
£175 Abbey Mortgage Repayment Fee, £170.03 Capital One Bank Charges £418.07 Lloyds TSB Bank Charges, £2,671.55 Mis-sold Endowment Policy, all for OH
  • As long as you didn't sign to say you excepted as full and final amount and that any further charges were (ha ha) exceptable then carry on with your claim m8 good luck x
