Electrical issue with washing machine

I'm no electrician so hoping for some advice on this.

I changed a part on my washing machine and want to test it with my multimeter after the repair to make sure it's safe.

A friend told me to test insulation on the plug by a clip on earth and a clip on live and neutral, I'm getting a reading of 665 M ohm on my multimeter for this, is this ok?

Also on continuity I am getting a reading of 0.07 K ohms, is this ok?

Thanks in advance

What part did you change and what do you mean by "continuity"? 665 MOhm means nothing is shorted to earth.

I changed the main pcb in the front panel.

I meant earth continuity, I put one clip on the earth pin on the plug and the other on a brass screw at the back.

665M is pretty well no connection at all - what you should expect between live and earth.

0.07K is 70 ohms. That's very high for earth continuity. I'd be worried if it's more than about 1 ohm. Is that because the meter you used won't read any lower, or because you didn't used the lowest ohms range?
    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.
