Carport?

I'm hoping this is the right place to ask my question, but if not hopefully someone will post it into the correct section.
I'm wanting to buy a carport which will have to be installed by someone else as my husband isn't able to do it himself. I say carport but infact it will only be served as extra cover for ourselves when the weather is bad.
We have 6ft high sturdy gates at each end of the side of the house where the carport will be fitted, and a neighbour's 6ft breeze block wall opposite the length of the house "I'm thinking we can use the side of our house as a supporting wall for the carport"?
The only doubts I have is that the roof will have to be well secured to stand up to the high winds we get around the side of the house.
Can anyone give me advice on what construction I need to look for and if anyone has any idea on what prices I could expect I would be greatful.
Thank you
