House prices on land registry site

Just a quick question on how long it takes a sale price for a house to appear on the land registry site.
A house was sold last December (2013) and the sale price has still not appeared, despite the fact that other properties from the same road have featured, which were sold in January/February this year.
Would this indicate a problem with the sale, or possibly a delay with the solicitors registering the sale?

Usually at same time as the sale is Registered with LR.

    http://www.landregistry.gov.uk/professional/guides/practice-guide-7
3 When will price paid be entered? When it is clear, that a sum of money (other than rent under a lease) has been paid, we will enter a note of that sum in the register. An amended entry will be made where the price includes other property as well as money
Not all sale prices are shown though.
    The price paid data excludes:
    • property transactions that have not been lodged at Land Registry
    • all property transactions which involve:
      • a corporate body
      • company
      • business
    • any residential property sales that may not have been for full market value, for example:
      • sale of part of the property or a share of a property
      • sale of a property at a discount, including right to buy properties
      • sale of repossessed properties
      • sale subject to an existing mortgage
      • transfers following divorce or by way of gift or exchange
      • transfers under Compulsory Purchase Order or by Court Order
      • transfer of more than one property as part of a portfolio
      • leases for 7 years or less.

Remember that there's often a large difference between when:
    a. a property is 'sold' (subject to contract), i.e. a prospective purchaser is selected; and
    b. a property sale/purchase is completed.

Do you actually mean the Land Registry, or those free house prices sites? Lots of transactions never appear on those free sites for no apparent reason (my current house never has!), but the details should still be on the Land Registry if you're willing to pay for them.

I am looking on the official Land Registry site, and the property is a quite straightforward residential semi detached, private sale/purchase, freehold.

You do not have to pay for this information, you simply put in a post code or streetname plus town and it will bring up the results.
Quite why this one is missing is beyond me.

Could be any of the reasons provided in the quote in my earlier post.

Thanks for the checklist, but none of those apply in this case.

Use the online report form to report the error and we can check to see whether there was a problem - that applies to Ivana Tinkle as well of course
