POPLA code not received from CEL

My friend and I as registered keepers received PCNs from CEL for both overstaying the time limit at McDonald's. As he is computer/internet illiterate I send individual e mails with our respective PCN detail appealing against their issue and requiring a POPLA code. E mails acknowledging both were received from CEL.. My rejection letter and POPLA code arrived and thanks to the help of those of this forum I have sent my appeal. Today my friend has received a letter demanding payment from CEL. I checked the e mail I sent on his behalf and found that I had added an additional number at the start of his PCN followed by the correct number( poor typing by me). Have I now ruined my friends appeals opportunity. I have now e mailed CEL with the correct number.

Did you get any form of acknowledgement from CEL of the email appeal you sent in on your friend's behalf?
Whether you did or did not I suggest that you send in a chaser pointing out the error. The fact that the chaser may be outside their entirely arbitrary deadlines is neither here nor there as the original appeal was (presumably) in time.My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -
I assume that this is connected to your previous thread? If so then it should really be continued with them.

The original e mail was in time and I did receive an automated response acknowledging receipt. My e mail to them today has included a copy of this automated reply.

My friend got a letter this weekend from POPLA stating that CEL have cancelled the PCN. No reasons given, short and sweet. Thanks for all the help and advice, two tickets, two successful appeals, happy days.0

Well done, another one bites the dust for CEL!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
