DVD's ideas for my mother-in-law who had just got a dvd player

I need some inspiration for my mother in law - She is mid 50's and now has a dvd player - any ideas welcome.

    What sort of stuff does she normally watch? Does she like the older classic films?
    Maybe a Sherlock Holmes fan or Morse or similar?
    You might be able to get some good deals on some box sets.
    Classic Dramas...Pride and Prejudice...can't go wrong with the BBC version..Colin Firth....mmmmm (not the film version it was %^&)
