freeze dried fruits

I was wondering whether it would be cheaper to buy 'plain' breakfast flakes and add my own freeze dried fruit, so Googled for prices.
I have found a company that seems to be the cheapest. However, 100g of strawberries is £6.79 or £6.49 , if you buy three or more packs (plus £2.99 P&P).
To help me decide, I need to be able picture what 100g looks like. I have contacted the company to ask about the volume, but have just been told that a 15cm cube would be sufficient to store a pack and that 100g of dried is equivalent to 1kg of fresh.
I replies, asking if the fruit had the volume of a 15cm cube and was told it was less; so not very helpful.
To save me from trying again, could someone , please tell me what the volume of 100g of freeze dried strawberries will be ?
Buying more from this company is more cost effective, as they also give rising % discounts as the spend rises, but I don't want to spend and be disappointed.

£2.99 postage is always a killer.

Are you serious?
Dude, you can get 500g of delicious fresh strawberries for 2 or 3 quid in the supermarkets.
That's more than a thousand percent cheaper, and a million times more tasty.0 -

100g dried are made from 1kg fresh, so the price is the same as you quote and you can't buy cheap fresh strawberries (or nectarines-my favourite) in winter.0 -

Nowt better than chopped bananas, and you can get them all year round. And I'm pretty sure strawberries are available pretty much all year round these days too.
