Green Deal & Free Wood Pellet Boilers!!
I have recently replied to a door dropped leaflet advertising Free Biomass Wood Pellet Boilers that includes the following free items:Boiler; Installation; 7 Year Parts, Labour & Servicing and £200 worth of wood pellets.
The representative from the company is visiting later today to discuss as I have been considering such an installation for some time as I live in a rural location in an old house with oil fired central heating (no mains gas).
What I understand of the Green Deal scheme is a loan with interest, paid for ideally by the savings you make in your energy costs from the new installation, the loan is paid back to your energy supplier and is attached to the property and not to you.
Firstly, I don't understand how you engage with an Energy supplier who is not one of the major gas / electricity suppliers that would be the case for my current heating which is oil and then switching to wood pellets supplies?
Secondly the deal I am investigating seems to good and I can't find any reference to a Green Deal Scheme providing Free Wood Pellet Boilers etc?
Has anyone any ideas??
