Help with iPad

My son has a disability and likes to watch videos on the iPad. It has a tough case on to avoid accidents. The problem I'm having is when he holds it his thin catches the home button a the time. Is there anything I can do on iPad to help with this so his videos don't keep getting stopped? Many thanks
